NCC 2025 Condensation Management
The National Construction Code 2025 updates (Part 10.8) strengthen the requirements for condensation control and thermal efficiency in roof assemblies and walls. These include:
- Minimum 20 mm clear air gap above insulation
- An airflow cavity that is a minimum of 25,000 mm² per linear metre
- Allows moisture vapour to escape
- Helps prevent condensation, mould, and structural damage
Important Notice
Traditional solid roll-formed galvanised steel battens do not meet the new NCC requirements, creating the need for a modern ventilated batten design that delivers compliant airflow performance.
